Sebastiaan van den Dries (42) has been appointed a director of BeFrank as of 1 March 2021. He will join Jan Hein Rhebergen as a director of the company.

Sebastiaan comes from the pensions sector; he is currently Director of the Management Division at ING CDC Pensioenfonds and NN CDC Pensioenfonds. Previously, Sebastiaan has worked for Deloitte as an adviser and also at Shell, where he was involved in the set-up and development of Shell Nederland Pensioenfonds Stichting in his role as DC Plan Manager.

Sebastiaan van den Dries: “I am delighted to be starting at BeFrank. It’s a great move, allowing me to support the largest PPI in the Netherlands. In terms of the pension accord, we are already very well prepared at BeFrank. Together with the team, I will focus on the further growth of our leading position with respect to innovation, sustainability and participant activation.”

Jan Hein Rhebergen: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Sebastiaan. With his depth of knowledge and experience in the pensions sector and his background in pension funds, he will be a great asset. We have successfully shaped the integration with NN PPI over the past few years and are now ready for the next phase. With Sebastiaan on board, we have a great deal of confidence in realising this.”

In the new situation, Jan Hein Rhebergen is responsible for the Commercial side and Sebastiaan has ultimate responsibility. Sebastiaan succeeds Anne Wilschut who left BeFrank on 1 January.
