Our investment experts invest your pension contribution. Prefer to opt for Do It Yourself investing? No problem! As long as your employer allows it and you pass our knowledge test. Here’s how Do It Yourself investing works at BeFrank.
Investing involves risks. At BeFrank, we feel it is important that you know this before you start investing for yourself.
Check your investment risk
You should therefore check your investment risk first by completing the Profile Selector. This shows us exactly how much risk you are willing to take.
Take our knowledge test
We will also ask you to take a knowledge test, which is made up of ten questions. If you answer enough answers correctly, you can start investing with BeFrank.
- You have a pension account with us showing your pension contribution, any additional pension contribution and your accrued savings.
- If your employer pays part of your pension contribution, you will be able to see that in your pension account. You can use that amount to buy investments.
- You submit your orders through your personal pension page.
- Your personal pension page also specifies the transaction costs for your investments. For some funds, €3 per purchase is charged as trading happens directly on the stock market.
NB: as a DIY investor, you need to be proactive if you want to reduce your investment risk over time.
Do It Yourself investing with personal allocation
In addition to your DIY investment pension, you can opt for Do It Yourself investing with a personal allocation. This is a simple way of investing your pension contribution yourself. You decide in advance which percentage of the contribution will be automatically invested per fund. You do not need to notify us of this for every premium payment. And if you want to change the percentage, simply let us know in the app or on your personal pension page.
Let us invest your money
If you invest your pension contribution yourself, you are actively working towards your pension. Some people like that. If you chance your mind, we can still invest your pension capital for you. We do this through a lifecycle. You decide how we invest your money and how much risk you are willing to take. Find out which pension choices you can make yourself.
