The legally prescribed UPO format is sometimes updated
The format and content of a Uniform Pension Overview (UPO) are prescribed by law. That is why all pension providers use the same format. The format is updated from time to time, and we are required to use the latest version. This year, the format has been updated slightly as well.
The UPO for a Wtp pension scheme looks different from the previous UPO
It is also possible that your pension scheme has transitioned to the Future Pensions Act (Wtp). The UPO format for a Wtp pension scheme is different from the previous UPO.
The previous UPO mainly showed how much pension you had accrued. The new Wtp UPO mainly shows how much money is in your pension pot and how it is developing. For example, you can see how much contribution has been paid in, what return your investments have generated, and more clearly which costs have been incurred.
As a result, some sections may look different or be presented differently from last year. The information remains based on your personal pension details.
All pension providers use the same UPO format. This makes it easier to compare pension overviews from different pension providers.
